Installing the 110mm Rodding Point
First, plan the drainage layout and choose a position that will remain accessible after installation. Do not place the cover beneath a permanent structure or another obstruction that would prevent future maintenance. Next, check that the receiving 110mm socket contains the correct sealing ring. Clean the spigot, socket and seal before assembly. Remove any grit, soil or damaged material that could affect the joint. Apply a suitable underground drainage lubricant where required. Then align the spigot carefully and push it into the compatible socket without forcing the connection at an angle. Support the fitting and surrounding pipework with suitable bedding.
