The single socket bend provides a 30° change of direction within compatible 110mm underground drainage systems. The Kayflow UG26 features one push-fit ring-seal socket and one chamfered plain spigot end, making it easy to connect with compatible underground drainage pipes and fittings. Its fixed 30° angle provides a useful directional change between shallower 15° bends and sharper 45° or 90° fittings. Installing the Single Socket Bend

Check the required drainage route, alignment and fall before installation. Where pipe is cut on site, make the cut square and remove sharp burrs before making the connection. Inspect the socket and sealing ring to make sure they are clean and correctly positioned. Remove soil, grit and other debris before assembly. Apply a suitable underground drainage lubricant where required. Align the pipe squarely with the socket and push the joint together without forcing the pipe sideways.

Supporting the Single Socket Bend

Provide suitable bedding beneath the fitting and surrounding underground drainage pipework. The bend should form part of a correctly supported system rather than carrying the weight of unsupported pipes or fittings.
