110mm Single Socket Pipe for Underground Drainage
The
single socket pipe is a 3 metre length of 110mm underground drainage pipe for compatible below-ground foul and surface water drainage systems. The Kayflow UG3 combines a single socket connection with a full 3m pipe length, making it suitable for new drainage runs, extensions and repair work. Kayflow’s underground drainage pipe is rated to
SN8 and uses a structured three-layer construction. The inner and outer layers use virgin material while the centre core incorporates recycled material, helping provide a strong underground drainage pipe while reducing the amount of virgin material required.

3m Single Socket Pipe Length
The UG3 is supplied as one 3 metre single socket pipe. Kayflow also manufactures a 6 metre single socket version under product code UG4. For installations where a socket is not required on the pipe length, Kayflow also offers plain-ended underground drainage pipe.
SN8 Single Socket Pipe
The UG3 forms part of Kayflow’s SN8-rated underground drainage pipe range. SN8 identifies the pipe’s nominal ring stiffness classification and makes this range suitable for appropriately designed underground drainage installations. Correct bedding, installation depth and backfilling remain important regardless of pipe stiffness, so the complete drainage system should always be installed in accordance with the project requirements and relevant drainage guidance.
Single Socket Pipe Construction
Kayflow manufactures its underground drainage pipe using three-layer structured-wall technology. The inner and outer layers are made using virgin material, while the centre core incorporates recycled material. This design allows Kayflow to reduce the use of virgin material while maintaining the required performance of the underground drainage pipe.
Installing the Single Socket Pipe
Plan the drainage route and required fall before installation. The trench should provide adequate space for correct bedding and alignment of the pipework. Where a pipe needs to be shortened, make the cut square and remove any sharp edges or burrs. Prepare the cut end correctly before inserting it into a compatible socket. Clean socket and pipe jointing surfaces thoroughly before assembly. Apply a suitable underground drainage lubricant where required and push the connection together squarely without forcing the pipe sideways.
Supporting the Single S Pipe
Provide suitable granular bedding beneath the pipe and support the full drainage run correctly. Avoid allowing isolated stones, rubble or other hard objects to create point loads against the pipe. Check the pipe alignment and drainage gradient before completing the side fill and backfill around the installation.
