Polydrain LFECO End Cap Outlet
The
Polydrain LFECO end cap outlet is manufactured specifically as an outlet accessory for the Polydrain Low Flow channel drainage system. Unlike a plain end cap, which simply closes the end of the channel, the outlet version allows collected surface water to discharge from the end of the drainage run towards a suitable onward drainage connection.
Low Flow End Cap Outlet
The
Low Flow end cap outlet is particularly useful where the drainage layout naturally finishes close to the required discharge point. Using an end outlet can avoid the need to create a vertical connection beneath the channel where the onward drainage route is better positioned beyond the end of the run.

A
channel drain end outlet should be planned before the surrounding paving or finished surface is completed. The onward drainage connection needs to be correctly positioned so that water can leave the channel without placing unnecessary strain on the outlet fitting. A15 channel drainage is intended for appropriate light-duty applications. The complete installation, including the channel body, grate, bedding and surrounding surface, should be selected and installed for the expected loading conditions.
50mm Low Flow Channel System
The Polydrain Low Flow channel is a compact system with a nominal external height of 50mm, making it particularly useful where installation depth is limited. The 50mm description relates to the depth of the Low Flow channel system. It should not be treated as confirmation that the LFECO connects directly to 50mm drainage pipe without checking the required outlet arrangement.
End Outlet or Bottom Outlet?
Choose the LFECO end outlet where the onward drainage route is best positioned beyond the end of the channel run. Where the underground drainage connection is positioned directly beneath the channel, a bottom outlet arrangement may be more suitable. Planning the discharge route before installation will help determine which outlet arrangement is most appropriate.
Installing the End Cap Outlet
Position the LFECO at the required discharge end of the compatible Low Flow channel run and make sure the outlet is correctly aligned with the onward drainage route. The surrounding channel should be correctly supported and installed before the paving or other finished surface is completed. Check that the outlet remains clear of mortar, debris and other installation material and test the drainage route before completing the surrounding surface.
