Inspection chambers give you safe access to an underground drainage run for inspection, rodding and maintenance, without digging up the pipe. At Speedy Plastics we stock complete manhole inspection chambers and every component to build one: chamber bases, risers, sealing rings and a choice of covers and frames from leading drainage manufacturers.
Choosing an inspection chamber
Start with the pipe size and the depth of your run. We stock chambers to suit 110mm and 160mm underground drainage, in shallow and deeper builds:
110mm x 320mm manhole inspection chambers for shallow 110mm drainage, with standard, screw-down and recessed cover options.
110mm x 450mm manhole inspection chambers for deeper 110mm runs that need a larger chamber.
160mm x 450mm manhole inspection chambers for 160mm main runs, including the Kayflow 5-inlet base.
Level invert manhole chambers (315mm) where a continuous invert keeps the flow smooth and rodding easy (Pipelife and Polypipe Terrain).
450mm flexible inlet manhole and 300mm flexible inlet manhole where inlet angles vary on site.
300mm fixed shallow manhole for a simple, shallow fixed-inlet build.
Building a complete chamber
A chamber is made from a base (the inlets and outlet), one or more risers to reach finished ground level, sealing components, and a cover and frame rated for the surface above, whether that is a pedestrian path or a driveway. Buy a complete chamber where you want everything matched, or individual inspection chamber components to adapt an existing run.
Not sure which base or cover suits your layout, depth or surface? Our team can help you specify the right chamber. Browse the ranges above, or go back to underground drainage for pipes, bends, gullies and the rest of the system.
