110mm Socket Plug for Underground Drainage
The
socket plug provides a simple way to blank an unused socket within a compatible 110mm underground drainage system. The genuine Funke KGM1000K is designed to push into a suitable ring-seal socket, allowing an unused connection to be securely closed during installation, repair or future drainage work. Manufactured from PVC-U in Funke’s red-brown RAL 8023 underground drainage finish, the fitting forms part of the COEX 2000 drainage system and is manufactured to BS EN 1401 dimensions.

Socket Plug Ring-Seal Connection
The COMPUG4SP is designed to insert into a compatible 110mm ring-seal socket. The existing seal within the drainage socket creates the connection around the outside of the plug. Before installation, inspect the socket and sealing ring. Remove soil, grit and other loose material and make sure the seal remains correctly seated. Apply a suitable underground drainage lubricant where required and insert the socket plug squarely without forcing it sideways.
Installing the 110mm Socket Plug
Clean both the plug and receiving socket before assembly. Check the socket for damage and confirm that the sealing ring is in good condition. Apply suitable silicone drainage lubricant to assist assembly where required. Align the plug centrally with the socket and push it firmly into position. Once installed, inspect the connection before backfilling or covering the surrounding drainage system.
Socket Plug or End Cap?
A socket plug and an end cap perform similar blanking functions but connect differently. The
Competa A pipe end cap instead fits over the outside of a compatible plain-ended pipe. Check the connection that needs closing before ordering. If you have an enlarged ring-seal socket, this socket plug is the appropriate style of fitting.
Competa Plug Construction
Competa manufactures the COMPUG4SP from PVC-U in its red-brown RAL 8023 underground drainage colour. The DN/OD 110 version has a stated wall thickness of 3.2mm and forms part of the company’s SN4 / SDR41 underground fitting range. Funke specifies the fitting dimensions to BS EN 1401 for compatibility with appropriate underground drainage systems.

The genuine Funke catalogue reference for the 110mm fitting is COMPUG4SP, printed by the manufacturer as COMPUG4SP. This should not be confused with COMPUG4SP, which is Funke’s separate 110mm cap designed for a different type of pipe-end closure.
