Where to Use the Oval Rodding Point
Install this fitting where future access to an underground drainage run may be required. A rodding point allows suitable drainage rods or inspection equipment to enter the pipework without dismantling a larger section of the system. Typical positions include the end of a drainage run, near a change of direction or another accessible maintenance point identified within the drainage layout. Polydrain states that the RE110 is ideal for tarmac, grass or gravel areas that are subject to pedestrian footfall only. Therefore, it should not be treated as a traffic-rated access fitting for vehicle loading.

Installing the Oval Rodding Point
