Competa CUG4BGR Bottle Gully Riser Extension
The
Competa CUG4BGR bottle gully riser is a raising and extension piece designed for use with compatible underground drainage bottle gullies where additional installation depth is required. This
225mm bottle gully riser allows the top of a suitable bottle gully to be raised towards the required finished ground or paving level. With an approximate 180mm diameter, the
180mm bottle gully extension provides a practical solution when a standard gully is installed below the required finished surface. The
bottle gully raising piece can be trimmed where necessary to suit the installation, making it a useful
underground drainage gully riser for new drainage work, renovations and repairs.
Competa CUG4BGR Bottle Gully Riser
The
Competa CUG4BGR bottle gully riser fits onto the top of a compatible bottle gully and increases the available height between the underground drainage connection and finished surface level. This is particularly useful where the gully body needs to remain at the correct drainage invert but the grid or top of the gully must finish higher to meet paving, concrete or landscaping levels.

225mm Bottle Gully Riser
The
225mm bottle gully riser provides up to approximately 225mm of additional height before trimming. This allows an installer to accommodate differences between the gully body position and the final ground level. Where the full height is not required, the extension can be carefully trimmed to achieve the correct finished level for the installation.
180mm Bottle Gully Extension
The
180mm bottle gully extension is designed for compatible bottle gully systems using the matching round upper body. Always check the existing gully dimensions before ordering. Bottle gully risers from different drainage systems can vary in diameter, socket arrangement and locating features even where the connected underground pipework is nominally 110mm.
Bottle Gully Raising Piece
A
bottle gully raising piece is useful where the main gully body has been positioned correctly for the drainage pipework but the top of the gully would otherwise sit too low relative to the surrounding surface. Using a dedicated riser maintains access to the gully for future cleaning and maintenance without requiring the whole drainage fitting to be repositioned.

Adjusting the Finished Gully Height
Establish the required finished surface level before cutting the riser. Position the gully and extension temporarily and mark the required height before making any permanent alteration. If trimming is required, make a clean and square cut and remove any rough edges before final assembly. Do not cut away more material than necessary, as the extension must still engage securely with the compatible bottle gully.
Installing a Bottle Gully Riser
Make sure the existing bottle gully is correctly positioned, supported and connected before fitting the extension piece. Fit the riser to the compatible upper section of the gully and check that it remains vertical and securely located. Adjust the height as necessary before completing surrounding paving, concrete or backfill. The finished bottle gully grid should remain accessible after installation so the gully can be inspected and cleaned when required.
When Is a Gully Riser Required?
A gully riser may be required when the drainage pipe invert dictates that the gully body sits deeper than the final ground level. It can also be useful during refurbishment projects where new paving, screed or landscaping raises the surrounding finished surface above an existing drainage installation.
