Description
4″ PVC to PVC Budget Pipe Connector
This
PVC pipe connector joins compatible underground PVC drainage pipes with different outside diameters. It features a flexible black rubber body and two stainless-steel clamp bands that tighten independently around each pipe. The larger side covers an outside-diameter range of 132–142mm. Meanwhile, the smaller side covers 105–114mm. Therefore, customers must measure both pipes before ordering rather than relying only on a nominal 4-inch or 110mm description.

Check Your PVC Pipe Sizes
Measure the outside diameter of both PVC pipes before ordering. Do not choose this connector from the nominal pipe size alone because different PVC drainage systems can have different outside diameters. The larger PVC pipe must measure between 132mm and 142mm across its outside diameter. The smaller PVC pipe must measure between 105mm and 114mm. Do not use the connector if either pipe falls outside these ranges. Also, measure the plain pipe barrel rather than a socket, collar or enlarged fitting end.
Where Can You Use This PVC Pipe Connector?
Use this fitting for compatible underground PVC drainage repairs, extensions and alterations. For example, it can connect an existing larger outside-diameter PVC drain to modern 110mm PVC drainage pipework. The flexible body helps accommodate small differences in pipe alignment and outside diameter. In addition, the separate clamp bands allow installers to secure each connection correctly. This budget connector is intended for compatible gravity drainage systems. Do not use it on pressurised water, gas or other pressure pipework.
Installing the PVC Pipe Connector
First, clean the outside of both pipes. Remove dirt, grit, sharp edges and damaged material that could affect the connection. Next, slide the connector onto one pipe and position the second pipe. Centre the rubber connector across the joint and make sure both pipe ends sit fully beneath their clamp bands. Finally, tighten the stainless-steel clamps evenly with the correct tool. Check the alignment before completing the pipe bedding and backfill. Do not overtighten the clamps or leave the joint unsupported. Browse the complete
