Description
110mm Double Socket Bend for Underground Drainage
The
double socket bend provides a gentle 15° change of direction in compatible 110mm underground drainage pipework. The Kayflow UG20 features ring-seal sockets at both ends, allowing plain-ended 110mm drainage pipe or compatible fittings to connect directly into either side. Its shallow 15° angle is useful where a drainage run needs only a small adjustment in direction while maintaining a smooth route through the system. The fitting is manufactured from PVC-U in the traditional terracotta underground drainage colour.

Where to Use the Double Socket Bend
Use this fitting where underground drainage pipework requires a small directional change. The 15° angle is particularly useful for bringing slightly misaligned pipe runs together or gradually changing the route of a drainage installation. Typical applications include:
- Foul water drainage
- Surface water drainage
- Domestic underground drainage
- Drainage extensions
- Drainage repairs and alterations
- New groundwork installations
- Minor pipe alignment changes
15° Double Socket Bend Angle
The shallow 15° angle creates a considerably gentler change of direction than 30°, 45° or 90° drainage bends. This can be useful where the pipe route needs correcting gradually rather than making a sharp directional change.
Double Socket Bend Connections
Both ends of the UG20 are socketed and incorporate ring seals. This means compatible plain-ended 110mm underground drainage pipe or spigot-ended fittings can connect directly into either end. The double socket arrangement can also make the fitting useful during drainage repairs because it provides a socket connection on both sides of the bend.
Installing the Double Socket Bend
Before installation, check the route, fall and alignment of the underground drainage system. Pipe ends should be cut square where necessary and any sharp edges or burrs should be removed. Inspect both socket seals and remove soil, grit or other debris. Apply a suitable silicone drainage lubricant where required. Align each pipe carefully with the socket before pushing the joint together. Avoid forcing the pipe sideways because this can disturb or damage the sealing ring.
Supporting the Double Socket Bend
Provide suitable bedding beneath the fitting and connected pipework. The bend should form part of a correctly supported underground drainage run rather than carrying the weight of unsupported pipe. Maintain the required drainage fall and inspect the connections before backfilling. Avoid placing sharp stones or rubble directly against the fitting.
Double S Bend Material and System
The UG20 is manufactured from PVC-U and uses captive push-fit sealing rings. Kayflow’s 110mm underground drainage system is designed as a lightweight, durable and easy-fit system for below-ground drainage applications. The fitting is suitable for compatible 110mm PVC-U systems manufactured to recognised underground drainage standards.
UG20 and BUG20 Double S Bend Codes
UG20 is Kayflow’s individual 15° double socket bend and is the correct manufacturer code for a single fitting.
BUG20 is Kayflow’s bulk-pack reference for 40 fittings and should not be used as the manufacturer code when selling one bend individually.
