The
single socket bend provides a compact 90° change of direction within compatible 110mm underground drainage systems. The Kayflow UG22 features a single socket configuration, allowing it to form part of a straightforward below-ground drainage installation. This fitting is the standard compact 90° single socket bend in the Kayflow 110mm underground drainage range. It should not be confused with the longer swept UG29 version, which Kayflow lists as a separate product.

Always plan the drainage route carefully before installation and maintain the required pipe fall through the surrounding system.
Single Socket Bend Connections
The single socket configuration allows the fitting to connect with compatible 110mm underground drainage pipework and fittings. Before making the connection, inspect the mating surfaces and remove soil, grit or other debris that could interfere with the joint.
Installing the Single Socket Bend
Check the drainage route, alignment and required fall before installation. Where pipe is cut on site, make the cut square and remove sharp burrs from the pipe end. Clean the connection thoroughly and apply a suitable underground drainage lubricant where required. Align the pipe and fitting squarely before making the joint. Avoid forcing the fitting sideways during assembly.
Supporting the Single Socket Bend
Provide suitable bedding beneath the fitting and surrounding drainage pipework. The single socket bend should form part of a correctly supported underground drainage system rather than carrying the weight of unsupported pipes. Check the alignment and drainage gradient before completing the surrounding backfill.
Single S Bend or Swept Bend?
The
UG22 is Kayflow’s standard compact 90° single sock bend. The
UG29 is Kayflow’s separate 90° swept single sock bend and has a longer-radius design. If a smoother directional change or longer-radius bend is required, choose the UG29 instead of the UG22.

UG22 is the individual 90° single socket bend and is the correct manufacturer code when selling one fitting.
